The just recently released SIA staffing report and rankings counted 224 staffing companies with $100 million or more in U.S. staffing revenue, down 7% from 241 in 2015. Of the companies qualifying for both this year's and last year's list, 75% experienced a decrease in earnings. SIA research analyst Kevin Chen suggests fewer firms arrived at the list this year because of decreasing budgets, longer sales cycles, and a more competitive landscape.

Highspring's ranking, based on annual profits, puts it amongst the leading 15% of all staffing business in the U.S.
